Coffee Filter Boring Product
A coffee filter is the paper or permanent basket liner that holds grounds in a drip brewer or pour-over cone. It is bought by households and offices in stacks of hundreds, usually without any brand preference beyond the size that fits the basket. The category is boring because it is the cheapest part of a morning routine and the least considered: the grinder and the brewer get the research, the filter gets reordered. Buyers choose by shape, size and whether the paper is bleached or unbleached, while permanent filters trade a higher upfront cost for rinsing. Paper filters are normally used once and then binned.

Boring is a property of how something is bought, not how it is made. What makes a product boring explains the test.
